A WORD FROM MARK
Thank you everyone who has helped to get this venture off the ground and all those who have already given donations for my charities - you know who you are. I hope to complete what is for me a lifetime’s ambition in Antarctica very soon.

One thing is quite likely - I’ll be having a White Christmas!

WE ARE THE PILGRIM'S MASTER, WE SHALL GO ALWAYS A LITTLE FURTHER, IT MAY BE BEYOND THAT LAST BLUE MOUNTAIN BARRED WITH SNOW, ACROSS THAT ANGRY OR THAT GLIMMERING SEA'.
DONATIONS
We have now passed the £26,000 pound mark!
Generous contributions from friends, family and the public have made sure we're on target to gain lots of donations for DebRA, Cancer Research and the British Heart Foundation. Many thanks for all those who have donated so far. To donate, visit my sponsorship site here.
ABOUT SOLO ANTARCTICA snowflake
Solo Antarctica is an individual, unsupported attempt to reach the South Pole and back totally unaided and laying return depots of stores on the outward trek. This has never yet been achieved or attempted so is a worthy challenge for one person.

Generally speaking, unsupported is defined as NO outside assistance i.e. Para re-supplies, mechanical aids (including wind-sails), pre-laid depots and dog haulage (outlawed under the Antarctic Treaty). This includes such trivias as accepting a hot drink from scientists at the Pole station. Solo Antarctica is TOTALLY UNSUPPORTED!
